Here are a couple of the layouts I've been working on in the past couple of weeks. I've been a very slow scrapbooker so I'm only getting about one page/layout done a day, but I'm at least gaining on it.
I'm doing Alyssa's monthly milestones in one-page layouts. I'm keeping the page design the same and switching around the paint, papers and ribbons. I did months 2-6 during a couple of crop days last week and these took a while because I am limiting myself to 4 photos per page and I had to pick from literally hundreds of photos every month. Probably the best thing I did to prep for this was to write the milestones out on one of those baby's first year calendars. From that I was able to find key photos to illustrate the month's events.
These photos taken during Alyssa's first two weeks have been kicking around for a while as I tried to come up with a layout idea for them. I love them because they show Emma's sheer joy in being with her little sister. I finally came up with a design plan but no title or journaling ideas until I got a copy of Lisa Bearnson's new book, 50 Moments. There was a layout by Mou Saha with a title that said, "A wish come true." And that was so perfectly true! It almost said it all. I added the journaling at the bottom (all true!) to complete the layout.
