Scrappin' Seminole

Some layouts

Here are a couple of the layouts I've been working on in the past couple of weeks.  I've been a very slow scrapbooker so I'm only getting about one page/layout done a day, but I'm at least gaining on it.

I'm doing Alyssa's monthly milestones in one-page layouts.  I'm keeping the page design the same and switching around the paint, papers and ribbons.  I did months 2-6 during a couple of crop days last week and these took a while because I am limiting myself to 4 photos per page and I had to pick from literally hundreds of photos every month.  Probably the best thing I did to prep for this was to write the milestones out on one of those baby's first year calendars.  From that I was able to find key photos to illustrate the month's events.

These photos taken during Alyssa's first two weeks have been kicking around for a while as I tried to come up with a layout idea for them.   I love them because they show Emma's sheer joy in being with her little sister.  I finally came up with a design plan but no title or journaling ideas until I got a copy of Lisa Bearnson's new book, 50 Moments.  There was a layout by Mou Saha with a title that said, "A wish come true."  And that was so perfectly true!  It almost said it all.  I added the journaling at the bottom (all true!) to complete the layout.

One of the layouts I did while Becky was here.  I really love this one - colors are way different than my usual and the letters were some *spice* courtesy of Beck's new QuicKutz alpha.

I've been busy, oh so busy

FINALLY we got a new printer/scanner so I can be productive showing off my creativity.  I've had a busy few days catching up scanning some things from February on.  Did all these layouts today and I'm very proud of myself for setting goals and reaching them.  Click on images to see full layout.  More to come!  (Not sure why the title on the second layout scanned so blurry, but it says Tropical Fun May 2006.)

Click on it to see the whole layout.  Thank you, Divine Secrets of the Digital Sisterhood (Epson) instructors!  Brushes are Chinaberry
and Cottage Arts (all FREE!)  Can't figure out now where I got the stamp brush (bottom left)
but when I figure it out, I'll post about it.  That set had some great sb'ing brushes.

;) S

Edited to add:  Turns out the above-mentioned stamp is part of a digital kit called Vintage Artistry from here by Carrie Stephens. No wonder I couldn't find it in my brushes!
